Who knows, honestly? According to the writing, which of course comes first hand from the author, since Ren is a virgin at 17, she's destined to be a cat lady for the rest of her life. But if a girl does so much as hug a guy in this book, she's labeled as a slut. It's a, "damned if you do, damned if you don't," kind of situation. If a young girl doesn't sleep with men, she's a loser who will forever be alone. If she does, she's a whore. The only take away that I got from the author is that she hates women.(less)
