I figured out how the patients were leaving the hospital from the start and what was ultimately going on the moment "The Clinic" was introduced. It's like Evanovich phoned in the plot for this one. I no longer categorize the Plum series as mystery and have started filing them under humor.

However, I do agree with Beth Gibson that #19 is better than some of its predecessors.(less)
