is this an easy book to read considering I am not native english speaker and 16 years old? I read The Lord of the flies by Golding and I lovedd it. I didn't have any problems with that book and it became one of my favourites so I wanted to read something more by this author because I really enjoyed his writing stile. So would you recommend this book to me, I read the plot and it sounds very interesting

Once you manage to get into Lok's head, I do think you'll be okay. It is a challenge at the beginning, though.

Sorry this reply is late, and I'd love to know what you think if you read it. The Golding that had me completely baffled was Pincher Martin. This, I read for the first time when I was three years younger than you are now, but I'm a native speaker.(less)

On pages 168-169, what do think Fa sees that she does not want Lok to see?
Nelda Fa sees the girl get shot with an arrow, or so it would seem, while she and Lok are holed up in that tree. And of course, Lok, who is not the brightes…moreFa sees the girl get shot with an arrow, or so it would seem, while she and Lok are holed up in that tree. And of course, Lok, who is not the brightest Neanderthal, keeps looking for Liku. This is not entirely his fault because Fa does not have the heart to tell Lok that she saw her die. Fa's omission of information causes all kinds of problems as time goes on.(less)
