I'm enjoying this book, but it feels like a fairy tale to me. Has anyone else gotten this feeling?

Fairy tale for him, nightmare for his wife. He skipped over some very dirty and hard stuff. Just to clean the house, she would have needed to go to the well multiple times per day. And if something went wrong she would have lived to ripe old age of "died in childbirth".

Eric also didn't tell anything about safety net he had by being wealthy so he could even do the experiment. This is not realistic for anyone who actually has to work for a living.

That's my opinion at least.(less)
