Great question! I assume you're in Fires of Heaven. That certainly stalls in the middle, probably during the circus plot thread.

Realize these slow scenes are character development. Not much is happening, but people are changing. it's slow, realistic, and annoying, like real life.

I powered through these scenes speedreading or skimming. Later, when I re-read the book, they were more interesting. Robert Jordan has an insane amount of foreshadowing and irony and you'll find plenty in these scenes, once you know what happens.

My daughter, who reads over two hundred books a year, is more ruthless. She simply skips scenes she doesn't like.

Robert Jordan's great scenes (and there are great scenes in Fires of Heaven) make plowing through the detailed, boring scenes worthwhile, in my opinion. If that's your opinion too, plow away!(less)
Olivia not really? there is LOTS of vibrant imagery so the full affect may not come across but I would say it is not a difficult reading level.
