There are drawn out, detailed sex scenes and the violence can occasionally become graphic. It wasn't even written well. It was just exhaustively specific and gross, especially the sex -- as an adult, I felt more like I'd accidentally picked up a dirty romance novel, and I did not like it at all. So if you're not into dime-store smut or medical style (dry and factual) gore, I'd just avoid this one.

Notable, there isn't a lot of gore because there isn't a lot of action. This is more romance than horror.(less)
