Omg !!! Favorite story as a child was the langoliers. Horrified me and has stuck with me ever since. Anyone else ?
Dane Cobain For me, it was easily the best story of the collection. The others were kinda predictable but The Langoliers is one of his finest in my opinion.

I shivered thinking about it because our old library was not airy like our new and it’s more modern of course. This old one though, was dark and dingy. Truly spooky over all!(less)
