... how is it that this book seems to have a price point ranging from $99 to $1300 ? Amazon shows it for $350 to $1300, but the review on gia.edu lists it as $99, although it's not for sale there.

The original Ruby & Sapphire is out of print and commands high prices from collectors. That's the one with the white dustjacked with a ruby just below the head and the sapphire, bottom right.(less)
