In each chapter there is a mention of a significant piece of work, and the said picture is shown at the end of the chapter. Caution though, I had a paperback copy, and I fear a lot of the magic is lost in the translation to cheap paper. A lot, but some of it still gets through, and even that is a pretty powerful depiction of the race. (less)
