It's also written with a lot of humor -- slapstick and ironic -- and the characters are uniquely creative. ... If mixing humor with violence isn't your speed, you won't like it. It was also published decades before the current era of awareness of racial and gender stereotypes. The author relies on those ironically more than out of ignorance, but you can tell this isn't a recent piece of work. So if that would bother you, then skip this.(less)
