I realize this question was asked 2 years ago but in case anyone else reads it or wants to know. Don’t take these exercises too seriously. Do them as best as you can understand it at the moment and it will become clearer as you begin practicing. Read it a few times. Practice for the recommended amount of time. Intend to understand. Tell yourself that you do understand even if you don’t in the moment. The point is to tell your cells to behave differently so if you also tell your mind that you understand, or even ask your mind to solve the confusion for you, you’re giving your mind a task and it will go to work to figure things out for you.
