It's in the future after the 3rd world war - an atomic war. The world was destroyed and then there where the aliens, who helped them rebuild their planet(the resources and fields and so on) in exchange of asylum, you could say.
They now visit earth through trees as their protal and usually only stay for some minutes during the taking...I hope this gave you some answers(: Feel free to ask more;-)
