Scott Peck's The Road Less Traveled decades ago where he posits that fear is the source of all evil] still reigns in a large part of our population. Ruled by identity politics and emotion framed by right-wing media who has made this big business to an electorate who finds this an affirmation to their identities and existence. The only reason Biden is President now is the votes of those not strongly identified by either side, who gave Trump a chance and are clear-eyed enough to acknowledge that it is all a scam and anathema to the prionciples upon which this country was founded. Alas the rest are lost..even if Joe could walk on water and turn dust to gold..they have identified a hate-mongering conman as their "saviour"..just as in 1930s Germany. Tnhose who do not learn history, are condemned to repeat it (less)
