There is one noble dimwit, as I'm a huge P.G. Wodehouse fan and can't seem to write a book without at least one Bertie Wooster-type, but most of the male characters are heroes, in every sense of the word. This is a traditional romance, with a man and woman getting their HEA. (And some of the "villains" in this novel are women, as I, too, don't believe all women "know everything and never fail.") In fact, most of the reviews gush about the main male character, Maxwell Dean, even more than the main female characters.(less)

I'd probably say…moreIt's hard for me to answer, as I thought the entangling in Mr. Malcolm's List was good, clean fun. (It was in a fountain, after all!) I'd probably say it's maybe in-between the two, though probably more on par with Miss Lattimore's Letter. There are only kisses in this book, and a little innuendo, but one of the kisses does involve some accidental entangling. (Though not in a fountain.) (less)
