About the time you posted this, I had a cerebral aneurysm and fell of the map for a bit while I relearned everything. I am just now re-reading this book. I hope your extended project turned out well. As a huge Jaws afficianado, I could have helped. I'm sorry. I met Joe Alvez, Dennis Prince who authored the book Designing Jaws (a high recommend), and Greg Nicotero (Walking Dead) at a special showing of Jaws when the book came out earlier this year. It was phenomenal and all three were so kind with their time.
