Philip It is the first in a loose series of seven, so can certainly be read standalone.

Dear community, I have been trying to fill the gap in 1990 Grafton Books London edition of MYTHAGO WOOD series for quite a long time. I love this edition, already own Lavondyss and The Hollowing and I have not been successful with the first Mythago Wood book at all. If someone somewhere would point me where I could turn my attention I would jump up with joy. Thank you! Goodreads demands I use question mark here, ok?

Does anyone know if the Tor Essential edition has actually been released?
