I'm at 3% in this book and I'm bored to death. However, since the author is so famous and the book is supposed to have insights into the "homicide world" / detectives I really want to read it. Currently the author is shifting among character POVs and the detective is on his way in the car. I literally fell asleep twice. How much more do I need to read till some action starts happening?

This after I have slept through the book number of times.. ..too many characters, too many stories/situation and too many detailing of the character/situation.

Am bored utterly, have skipped many pages but then I want to finish it because I started and this has some good review on good-read. Why, I wonder?(less)
