It is a story about the soldiers involved in a small part of the Pacific Campaign in the 2nd World War. It focuses on their trials, the waiting, the fatigue, and their backstories. Certainly this campaign put an end to Japanese imperialism, but that isn't the theme of the book.(less)

I want to read this book but then I learned that the book has censorship. Does the censorship ruin the enjoyment of the book?

Dave Harmon no, the only censorship was he changed fuck to fug. so enjoy, its good.
