Can I read this without having read the previous ones? Honestly, that thing about publishing books without marking them as part of a saga annoys me so much! I bought this book thinking that it was a book by itself and picked it up to read it, but it's so confusing? And it's been more than a month that I bought this, so I can't exchange it for something else. Do I have to buy/read the other 5 as well?

In this book we learn that "Z" and Bella have a healthy baby. If I am not mistaken, when it was the end of "Z' and Bella's story, there was one scene when Bella walks into the training gym and says that the baby wants her father. So why go throw the whole story in this book when we already know Bella has the child?

Is there any way I could skip this book?? I've read the reviews and criticism of this book and honestly I don't want to read a book that's not good just to continue a series. I don't really care that much about Cormia or Phury really, so no real interest there. And I am interested in the overall story, but if it's not even told well in this book, should I just read a full summary of it online and continue the series?

Is Lassiter a Fallen Angel. I thought the whole reason for the angels was saving people from the 7 deadly sins????? if that is the case, then what the heck is he doing following Tor around????? First off, he's a vampire, he doesn't subscribe to all the biblical stuff. Secondly, I'm not sure where mourning the death of your shellan and unborn child lies.?
