well-written but the plot grossed me out on so many levels. it really bothered me to see the most interesting, capable character in the entire novel bow and scrape and basically beg for this shallow loser's love. i can understand some initial hesitation on his part - but to leave his realization that he loves her to the last few pages?!?!
