I just read Lavender-Green Magic and loved it. I was surprised to discover here that it is the fifth book in a series, since I did not feel that I was missing any back story as I read. What relation does this book have to the other books in the series?

They are all about children who encounter some item that transports them in time, or to a magical place, where they often right some sort of wrong. The themes are similar, but they aren't really related in the way that "series" books often are.(less)
