After her mother died, her friend's mother acted a mother to her. She also turns out to be the queen of the Seelie court. Callie wants to go live in the Seelie court as it is her new family but since they are royals she must proof her loyalty to them. She did this by pretending to be a human scientist and killing fae in the human realm. Her final test to proof her commitment to the Seelie is to kill the Unseelie prince, prince Mendax. She pretends to be an innocent human scientist until the end when she kills prince Mendax and the “plot twist” at the end exposing her true intentions. (less)
