does it have a lot of old english style writing?

Elizabeth Why would it be "old english style"? it's not Beowulf. This is old english:

Is it clean? Sexual tension is great but I dont want to read graphic romance novels.

Marlyn I don't think it's squeaky clean like Twilight. But it isn't horribly racy, there are some spicy scenes but it didn't make me cringe like Fifty Shades…moreI don't think it's squeaky clean like Twilight. I'm not one who likes more sex than plot and character development, but if you're going to read romance some sex comes with the territory. In this book they were tastefully done. I'll read the next one for sure.(less)

I absolutely LOVED this entire series, was so sad when it ended and am looking for another that is similar, does anyone have any suggestions? I've found Bec McMaster's London Steampunk series which I am also really enjoying, but wanted to see if anyone has any other recommendations! Thanks in advance all!

Are the books standalone novels within this series? Or does each one lead into th next and continue on with the same characters and storyline? Are there cliffhanger at the end o the books?

Jessica The first book is a standalone book - but the second book uses a periphery character from the first book and throws them into the main character slot.
