Militarily I would have done the same action if I were the English. We had excellent intelligence on English activity yet very little defensive measures were taken. Overall, we were unprepared for this event.

I will repose another form of answer in a question of my own. Should the world have been appalled of Allied bombing of Berlin and Tokyo? The answer is emphatically No. This is war. We bomb, burn, and destroy enemy capital cities. Germans bombed London, Moscow, Warsaw, and countless other European capitols. The Allies paid them back in spades. This is unfortunately just war.(less)
