I read to escape, and her books lately are no escape. I found the same happened with Martha Grimes and Margaret Maron, they seem to want to add "todays happening" to their fiction which is their right. But my right not to buy and move on to someone who entertains me . I don't even check these writers out in the library. Glad i am not the only one who feels this way.(less)

It will, however, be something of a spoiler if you decid…moreI always prefer to read a series in order, but it isn't necessary in order to enjoy the book. It will, however, be something of a spoiler if you decide to go backwards and read other books in the series. This series is somewhat unique in that there are five or six characters, including Lynley, that dominate the series. Different books concentrate on developing their life stories and deepening their personalities. I would recommend starting with the first book, and seeing whether you are interested in reading the rest of the series. (less)

Stupid question, but I am listening to this as an audio book from the library. Can someone tell me, the character name sounds like "Toyfa-ew". He is a photographer that is in with Tim, the 14 year old boy. He takes dirty pictures to sell. I am nearly done, but how do you spell this man's name? Thanks. Kathleen McKinney
