I got a job at Boston City Hospital, Harvard Medical School's inpatient psychiatric ward in 1969, under Dr. Vernon Patch. My bestfriend, Deb Hayden, who was then at Boston University, brought home this story saying: "you now have Sylvia Plath's job". She was correct.
