When I read this part of the book of personally pictured her walking out alone, not with Abdi. Sorry that no one answered your question for 3 years btw lol(less)

I am usually not in the mood to start a series, and picked this one up not knowing it it had a sequel. Now I am happy there is one, because I really enjoyed the characters and the setting. But, it ends at a place that could easily be an ending for a stand alone novel.(less)
