Does the story have a good ending? I still enjoy a story where the virtuous of heart ultimately triumph over adversity. I supposes it gives u a sense of hope in a world that at times seems somewhat dire. Cheers Paul

I've read "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker and loved it but read "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston and hated it. How does "Song of Solomon" compare to those?

What are some of your thoughts about the character Guitar, especially his motivation as it relates to the ending of the book? Morrison spelled out some of this, but I think there was more to it.

Side note, there is not a single book of the Bible that takes longer that 5 hours to read in one go. And the 5 hour one is Psalms. I’ve found this website to be quite accurate with how long it takes to read the books of the Bible.
