I read Pushing Ice, and it was truly awful. Stoopid stoopid behaviour of main characters in the service of a silly plot. Ugh. Anyone else hate Pushing Ice, but have some Reynolds book you liked? Let me know!

Yes, I think it has some minor issues with pacing and motivations of the characters, but that being said... Have you met any people? seriously most people have incredibly stupid and contradictory behavior.

The fact that people make boneheaded choices despite evidence that their choices are completely idiotic means the characters are well written and believable. I could not tell you how many people are completely blind to reality and will actively act against their own self interests. (less)
