What happening with the arabs and the very dangerous Chinese killer?? The very seductive Chinese woman ....??? I think the book finished in a very open way. As if it would be continued! Strange finale.

Why oh why do so many authors keep referring to CIA Case Officers as Agents?...they're not. CIA personnel referred to in books and movies are not 'agents;' They are usually Case Officers or Operations Officers. There ARE CIA agents, but these are the people from other countries that Case Officers recruit to do the spying. And it's the "Drug Enforcement Administration," not Agency.

This is one of my favorite Grisham novels. But, as a military veteran, I wonder how Mr. Grisham could have put a 60 year old Major (Army, Air Force or Marine) in charge of the entire DIA? Major is just the 4th step up the officer ladder. The Director of the DIA is a Lieutenant General, the 9th step up the officer ladder. A quick search would have provided clarity on rank.
