The upside is that Apple Corp. is still around and selling computers and other devices to the consumer market while 100% of their competitors have failed and/or left the market. The Apple ][ was $1,298 when it was released in June 1977. Competing systems such as the Commodore PET were $595, Radio Shack TRS 80 at $799, etc. Scully did not arrive until April 1983.(less)
