The killing off of Jaime was blatantly uncalled for. It was like Scarpetta had competition and they killed her off. Plus poor Lucy didn't even work through the loss of the breakup and Jaime was murdered. BOOM. I love powerful women in books. But I always felt like Jaime was used. Also Patricia should elaborate more on certain scenes. THEY KISSED. What else happened? THEY ATE.
