In "The Age of Wonder", by Richard Holmes, the author mentions the dissecting rooms of an anatomical researcher in Windmill St., London. He points out that the same building later became the home of the first English burlesque and nude tableaux - a fact he describes as possessing "a curious Ackroydian historical resonance." Can anyone help me understand what he means to convey by the use of the word "Ackroydian?"
