At times, the book will discuss general problems in animation, like how to achieve depth or realistic movement or the difficulty in animating hair. It does so only in the context of how Pixar managed to overcome these problems in the making of its films. It is particularly strong on the way problems in the depiction of water were overcome in Finding Nemo and the way hair was depicted in Monsters Inc. Mostly, its focus is on the creation of each film, how character design and story problems were overcome, the business side of the enterprise, and so on.(less)
