I really liked this book, but the extent to which it was focused on the vagina as a key to female identity made me a bit uncomfortable. They were quite respectful with transgender people in the introduction and appendices, but even the monologue from the point of view of a trans woman focused a lot on her surgery. Does anyone have opinions on the potentially problematic nature of the Vagina Monologues?
