I just received this in the mail from my friend in Manchester, England. "Witches" were quite often merely Catholic. Each autumn my daughter and I read a history of the Salem/Danvers witch trials or about Puritans. This historical fiction looks to be in this same vein. What are your thoughts?

It is a look at the politics and religious divisions of the early 1600s. This is a fictional account of historical events. It is well written and entertaining. Whether it is historically accurate or not makes is for the scholars to decide. I find it a good read.(less)
