3) A working title for this novel was The Seventh Dove. What does Halajan’s story about the doves mean, and why does it have such a strong effect on Sunny?

11) When the author refers to 'Brits' presumably she means whites? Which begs the question why she wouldn't consider the 'Paki's' (sic) or blacks as Brits.

13) When did the ghettoisation of London and segregation in schooling occur exactly?
14) Was the fast friendship between the women hard to believe but maybe not given the lack of people they interact with?
15) Do you wonder where are the women groups, the human right groups, and the leaders of our world that they are not boisterous over the mistreatment and murder of women and children (especially female children)?
