I too was confused over Carrie living or dying. Has anyone ever figured it out? Maybe she is mentioned (or shows up) in a later book in the series?

It would not be a very g…moreThis book, while interesting and a very good read, cries out for an epilogue. Is everyone dead at the end? If not, who lives? It would not be a very good or logical outcome for Carrie to have died, since she could have easily shot Gillian instead of leaping in front of the bullet intended for Jury. Also doesn't make logical sense, since if she dies she wouldn't get the inheritance from Lister and it could not be used to support her animal "sanctuary". Just doesn't make sense.(less)
