The Grove Press edition lacks a section numbered 4 in Chapter Two. I'm wondering if this is significant or just a printing error. Later in section 6 there's mention of a streetcar mix-up with "line number 6" and "line number 4", so I suspect Robbe-Grillet is playing with us. Do other editions (the Minuit, for example) lack section 4 in Chapter Two?
