I will say the book is written in first person, that is to say, Cleopatra is telling her own life story to the reader. I was blown away with the mastery with which George wrote this book. It is well worth the read and no, it's not some romance/sex filled book. Historically, it is extremely accurate and has been very well researched. (less)
