Can not fantasy writers create without wargasm? There are parts that let you know killing is wrong. There's a Youtube made by a class studying this book. It shows a group of kids play fighting, okay, until one young viking (kid) pretends to slit the throat of an innocent villager, the young man had a look of joy(?) pretending to be a drugged out viking from the book. What are we learning?

One of the major themes is to appreciate and love the Life force. War is mentioned, but this is not a war story. It is a delightful story about a boy who goes on a grand adventure. I have read this story many times because it brings me a lot of joy.(less)

I am unsure what to think of this book? the description and reviews exites me, but at the same time it seems like a children book (no hurt feelings intended). Someone who can recomend it for experienced readers?

But still, it's a nice book to read, it tells the adventures that Jack - a just kidnapped child- has on the land of vikings.
It is for chldren but, in my opinon, it teaches a lot.
