Need a spoiler here - can one of you tell me if the fox survives???? Just sat down to read Michael Morpurgo's Fox Friend with my budding reader, 6, - her first foray into little chapter books - walked away and left her engrossed and came back and found her distraught. Bit too much realism for a six year old beginner (and no alerts on the back for parents). Would like to give her a book about foxes with a HAPPY ENDING
