Then fold a load of clothes and put them away. Then go read another chapter. I can do this all day. It works great for me!" (Shannon Strickland-Brown)

6. "I wake up a little earlier each day and enjoy a book with breakfast." (Kaitlynn Scribner)

11. "I've actually called in sick when I've been reading something particularly good!" (Angela Free)
12. "I watch TV a LOT. However, it finally dawned on me that the commercial breaks these days are much longer than they used to be. I am one of those who have 3 or more books going at the same time. In addition to those, if I see a book in one of my bookcases that fits my mood, out it comes from the bookcase, and I'll begin reading. Also, if a new book that I ordered arrives, and I am looking it over, sometimes I have found myself at page 100 before I realize it!! Oh, how I love to read!

Have several books on the go. My Kindle goes with me everywhere, there are library books beside the bed, and there is always a To Be Read stack close by. I read with my breakfast coffee every morning and read in bed every evening -- frequently late into the night. IPad, Kindle or paperback, I am never without a book.
Kelly wrote: "I can read and knit at the same time lol otherwise its audiobooks all the way!"Read AND knit?? You must be a fabulously talented knitter. Tell me your secret to making this work. I can knit and watch TV but don't think I could read and knit at the same time!
Austin wrote: "I read every moment I have at school"Me too. Finish your work a couple minutes before the teacher moves on? Read. Sitting at lunch alone? Read. On the bus? Read. I even try to rush through my tests so I have extra time to read often times! Though that might not be the best idea... Oh well! Books & Imagination > Grades & School
My husband and I commute together so I read on the way to work and back, about 45 minutes each way. I read during my breaks and during lunch and sometimes I read while I'm eating dinner. I don't mind if the whole family busts out a book and reads, too. We talk in between reading. :)

Wow! Impressive.
Wow! Impressive.
I read 30 minutes before I go to sleep. There is no T.V. in my bedroom so it's easy. Also, I like to walk to the park and read. I'll sit there for about 2-3 hours and then walk home. You can read a lot in 2-3 hours. Sometimes, I take 2 books with me; just in case I don't like the 1st, I have the 2nd, to fall back on.
Reading before sleep, reading while waiting for buses, reading in the metro, reading on my breaks at work (short stories work for that), reading another book on my tablet, another on my phone. Depends on where i 'm standing really. I haven't tried yet the audiobook while doing chores around the house or while driving.. That was a good one.

"I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book." - Groucho Marx
I have to read before I sleep. If I don't then I am constantly tossing and turning thinking about the stories I want to read. So I always read an hour or sometimes more before going to bed. I definitely have a sleeping problem but the few hours I get are blissful with story-filled dreams.
With that irresistible urge to just turn to the next page and read and read , you can find me reading wherever i go,be it in the school bus or somewhere else.......since i cant make any more time in the day,i just utilise every last minute to read!
@Austin: Same, I have been made fun of for constantly reading, but I don't really care, after all it's what I love to do.
I used to listen to music while running on the treadmill each morning. Now I read for that half hour.
I think that person should pick up a book sometime and try reading, he might be surprised. He might like it.Reading is fun. I enjoy reading a good book.
I have been getting into mysteries and I love guessing and seeing if I picked the right killer.
Reading also makes you think. Expands the mind. And I believe it increases your vocabulary.
