Posted by Sharon on June 1, 2023

Looking for some fantastic new queer romances to read during Pride Month? Well, you've come to the right place!

Of course, we think there's no reason to limit your reading of LGBTQ+ love stories to just one month in the year, especially if that year is 2023, because just look! At all! These books! In the list below, you'll find a whole bunch of this year's new and upcoming adult romances across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. We're talking adult summer camp swooniness, 19th-century lesbian rebellionmagic-crystal-enabled time travel, trans fake dating, and grumpy-meets-sunshine encounters on the Pacific Crest Trail. Whew, what a great time to be a reader.

Scroll over the covers below to learn more about each book, and be sure to add the ones that catch your eye to your Want to Read shelf. And if you're more in the mood for queer reading in other genres, hop on over to this post. Happy Pride!

coty ☆ David wrote: "I count 7 books with male/female figures on the covers. That's super weird for an LGBTQ romance feature."

bisexual and trans people exist. some trans people are even straight, but still part of the lgbtq because of the T. your comment is the weird thing here, tbh

It's an MMFF polyam relationship, and the main characters are all queer. A lot of her protagonists in her novels are queer!

Evelyn Fenn Lori S. wrote: "Friends Without Benefits features an asexual character? Sold!"

I admit to being a little surprised to seeing a book with a tagline of “Some endings don’t need romance, hearts, or flowers to be happy” to be included in a romance list.

As the author, I feel it only fair to warn potential readers that while some characters do have romantic subplots I didn’t set out to write a romance; if you go into the story hoping for a full blooded romance, you may be disappointed.

Then again love comes in many different forms.

message 14: by Collin (new)

Collin A Why do all the covers on so many books look exactly the same just different punchy colors

Just make sure you aren't advertising it as a romance. Romance has to be the main focus/plot in order to be a romance along with a HEA. If it is missing one or both of those things that it is a book with a romantic subplot.

message 18: by Ro (new)

Courtney How is Role Playing LGBTQIA+? I’ve read the summary and several reviews, and I’m not catching why it’s tagged LGBTQIA+. Could someone enlighten me?
