Anything and I mean ANYTHING by Brandon Sanderson. His writing is the best. I would recommend everyone in the world to read Mistborn! My at home real books shelves have all of his books and I have already pre-ordered 4 more! I use to be a big Tolkien and Harry Potter Fan, but those two authors are nothing compared to Mr. Sanderson. That man is a national treasure.

Nick J Taylor Stephen Baxter's Manifold series (Time, Space & Origin) provides a first-rate mash-up between hard Sci-Fi and Space Opera.

RIGHT ! e.g H.G Wells ??
I guess they're trying to give new writers some needed exposure this time .

Vanessa Dargain I'm reading BATS OF THE REPUBLIC by Zachary Thomas Dodson,
for the upcoming 2022 reverse readathon .
Only read one chapter , but so far I like it . Reminds me of Wallace
Stegner's novels .

Jim S If you like fantasy or modern witches, check out Sage, Smoke & Fire, and Powdered Oak & Seven Metals by Ryan Kurr. He's an indie author that a friend turned me on to, and the books have some awesome covers! Most of my reads are based on recommendations and I really enjoyed those first two! There are even recipes in the back.
