New Feature: Publish to Blog
Good news, WordPress users, you now have the ability to automatically publish your Goodreads review to your blog. This saves you valuable time since you no longer have to copy your review, log into your blog, and then paste it.
Step 1: update your blog settings page with your login credentials.
Step 2: write a review or edit an existing one.
Step 3: check the 'post to blog' box at the bottom of the review form.

Step 4: admire your automatically published post on your blog.

I did have my FB stuff in there, but I had disabled it.

Side question: Is there a way to post old reviews to your blog? (get to the html/script of an old review that is)
Thanks! :)

I can't even give goodreads my blogger login info. When I choose blogger as the service I'm using, the login and password fields disappear.
Hoping we can get some clarification on how to automatically post our reviews to blogger.
Thanks!

I set the blog type to blogger, and found the url just fine. User name, I'm not sure about - I've tried with 'anamardoll' and 'anamardoll@gmail.com'. I've checked "publish to draft".
When I write a review on GoodReads, I check the "publish to blog" box, but nothing happens on my blog. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I have tried multiple wordpress installs that I have - and I have tried with and without the http:// - any ideas?

John, if you're using this with blogger, you should just need to authorize with blogger with the link. Then it will bring you back to the blog setup page, where you can follow the directions below on the page to put in your post url.

Thank you for restoring the sanity in myself.....for the moment

That exists currently for wordpress, but disappears when you select blogger.
Thanks!

Simple, type your blog URL in. So it should be example.wordpress.com
You can find this-this by going on Wordpress 'My Site(S) Clicking on the visit site button and copying the link!

But, it doesn't work for me. Simply, I click the option 'Post to blog' but NOTHING happens? NOTHING. No sign. And when I click the edit to the review, the box is unticked automatically? Heeeeeelp, please?

does the URL include "/xmlrpc.php" on the end? this is needed. also, try logging in manually with the credentials you gave to the goodreads settings.

As log-in I entered my username.
It's not working, what am I doing wrong?
On the goodreads help about this it says I should go to my blog mainsite and view the source code. I have no idea how to do that or where to find it...

I'm wondering how everyone's now posting to their blogs? The email said we could 'copy and paste' but it's not quite that simple. I'm going to have a look at setting up a template as an intermediary step but even that's laborious.

--Actually, cancel my comment. I figured out how to copy and paste properly - instead of pasting directly into my blog I have to paste into a text document first. Then it seems to work just fine!

I just found this out now too. What is going on? :(

It sucks now.

They've taken it off, Debra. You now have to copy the html details to the right and paste it into your html wordpress blog manually.
