Cuddle Up With These New Holiday Romances and Cozy Mysteries
Holiday-themed books are always a good time. A quality romance or cozy mystery becomes enhanced, somehow, when there’s a connection to those traditional winter holiday themes. Family reunions! Weird gift-giving stories! Weird gift-receiving stories! Highly distressing egg- and nog-based beverages!
There’s a flip side to this, too. Simply having a serious book habit can be a real advantage during the holiday season. There will be moments, in the weeks to come, when you’ll want to get away from your otherwise beloved family and friends. Everyone knows this. Keep a book or two within reach, and you’ll always have an escape hatch. You can keep them in your overnight bag, your purse, or—if you’re particularly desperate—even your cargo pants. (Let’s just say that some of us know this from direct experience.)

Veteran author Brenda Jackson offers a tale of yuletide redemption in One Christmas Wish. Jean Meltzer brings celebratory romance to The Matzah Ball. Where was Christina Lauren's In a Holidaze? I could read that one every year around the holidays!

The Geek Who Saved Christmas and A Case for Christmas sound like fun reads. And they are in KU! More to add to my tbr.

I am excited to read some themed books this holiday season. I usually just read what I want, regardless of the season, but this year, I am going to dive into the spirit of Christmas with some themed reads.

I'm actually not sure I've ever read a holiday-themed book, aside from maybe a scary story around Halloween, but this year I think I'm going to check out some festive mysteries.
Loved The Cranberry Inn by Barbara Josselson and Home with You by Claudia Burgoa and Graham Claire, both come out this week. Amazing warming reads. ❤️

Christmas always been a good reason to buy more books. The cover of Xmas theme books here are so tempting. Hope this time I will get to buy Skipping Christmas by John Grisham which never available at bookstore I frequented. Also some of book at the list up here.
Romance and Mystery, two of my favourite subjects.
I tried to read the Matzah Ball. I am Jewish. This book is actively harmful in terms of enforcing Jewish stereotypes, tactless treatment of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, annnnd who the hell is the Jewish protagonist who inexplicably LOVES Christmas for? Please promote a less problematic Jewish book if you're going to promote one at all.
Jacquelyn Middleton's THE CERTAINTY OF CHANCE should 100000% be on this list. It's wonderfully Christmassy in all the best ways.
I loved Sarah Morgan's The Christmas Escape! Another book that I loved is Marie Landry's Escaping Christmas!
Anyone else find it sad that only one ONE Chanukkah book was represented in a list of gazillion christmas titles?
Many of these titles can be found in one contest that 12 authors are running now. I saw posts about it on Facebook. Their contest ends December 3rd so hurry if you want to take a chance at them.
