The Most Read Books on Goodreads in September
What's popular right now, you ask? Well, book club favorites like Where the Crawdad Sings, Little Fires Everywhere, and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine continue to reign supreme, but there's always room for a few new favorites. Making their debut on the list this month are Ruth Ware's latest mystery, as well as The Testatments, the highly anticipated sequel to Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale.

I'm currently reading The Secret History. I've waited for October since it suits the academic setting.

From this Most Read List, my favourites were Becoming, Before We Were Yours & The Silent Patient.
The Handmaid's Tale and The Testaments are in my TBR for October.

What about The Nickleboys by Colson Whitehead? Not Science Fiction but aimed at males. Have you read: Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson?

Crawdads a great read.

I've noticed the same thing, Stephanie. I am a guy who reads a lot of non-fiction, but I'm always on the lookout for a good fiction book. To judge from Goodreads, women are dominating the genre. I usually have to go to the classics or foreign authors to find a good male author.

Our reading group had the same reaction. She's not on our list any longer.
