24 New and Upcoming Romantic Comedies to Fall For
After a comeback that left readers breathless last year, romantic comedies are thriving on bookshelves, rising to the top of bestseller lists, and being snapped up for TV and movie adaptations.
While these lighthearted love stories are meant to make romance readers laugh, they're also bound to make them cry (with happiness!) as they explore all the ups and downs of modern-day relationships.
The books in this roundup are no exception. Starring adorkable leads—including two rival dating app creators, a pair of "unhoneymooners," a crown prince and a president's son, and a die-hard romantic waiting for her own Tom Hanks—these popular and highly anticipated titles show that we have now entered a rom-com renaissance.
Browse our selection below, which we put together by taking a look at average star ratings, number of ratings, and how many times Goodreads members have added a book to their Want to Read shelf. Which picks do you think will be "the one" for you?

They are attractive covers but what's inside? I find most romances as formulaic and totally flat. Often written by committee rather than being original. Maybe a Lifetime or Hallmark Channel movie.

I have just started reading romance in the past few years. I'm finding a lot more variance than I expected. :)

I don't read a lot of romance but lately they have been really appealing to me and I love the cartoonish, cutesy covers! Lots here I want to read.

Oh my gosh, me too!!! They're just so adorable and look good on my shelves :)

Lucy Parker is the queen of romcoms AFAIAC.

I am not a huge fan either. I thought the first 2 or 3 that I saw were cute but now they are everywhere. They give the appearance of a light and fluffy book when many of them are way more than that.
