The Most-Read Books of the 2018 Reading Challenge

This year, 4 million readers joined the 2018 Reading Challenge, and collectively you've read more than 53 million books since January!
We were curious to know which books were most read during the Challenge, so we dug into our data to find out. The top book overall was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Among books published this year, the Hitchcock-inspired debut thriller The Woman in the Window earned that distinction.
When it came to the classics, To Kill a Mockingbird was the most-read novel. And in the nonfiction arena, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life came out on top.
Below you can find—in order—the most popular books of the Challenge, from the overall most read to new releases to classics to nonfiction. Which books will you be adding to your Want to Read shelf?

Hello,
If you are logged into Goodreads, you should see your profile image or icon..."
OK here's the problem I have. I go to my reading challenge, see that none of the books I hav..."
JPT basically covered this, but just to clarify: Adding a book to your 2018 shelf doesn't make it count for 2018. You need to go to My Books and add the actual date you finished the book. (If you don't remember the exact date then I believe you can just put the first of the month, e.g. March 1, 2018 and it'll count it as "sometime in March")

I've read some of the classics on here, but 2019 is going to be about Alaska until the Iditarod, then books I read years ago for Spring. Not sure where I'll go from there.

If you click on the GR help button, it'll take you to the list of FAQs. Under the "My Books" section there's an FAQ about books you've read that aren't being credited to your challenge. You may find this helpful. You must be enrolled in the challenge and you must actually indicate the date you finished the book. Simply finishing a book without entering the date does not automatically count towards your challenge total. You can go back now and enter the finish dates according to the instructions and your challenge total will be updated. (If you don't remember the exact date now, you can enter any random 2018 date.)
I make a habit of entering the finished date as soon as I've read a book so I don't forget to do it later. But GR will usually prompt me on the rare occasions when I've written a review that doesn't include a finished date, so that helps, too.
If all of the suggestions here don't help, you may need to contact the GR help desk directly and have them walk you through the process. Good luck.
